Homeowner Resources
Congrats on Your New Home
Building a new home is exciting. It can also be a bit intimidating, though. At Harbor Homes, we want the process of building and living in your new home to be as EASY and enjoyable as possible. For that reason, we've put together informational videos to guide you through operating and maintaining the features in your home, understanding the warranty process, navigating a Homeowner Orientation, and accessing the Online Customer Portal.
New Home Maintenance
Have a question about how something works in your new Harbor Home?
We have you covered! Harbor Homes' New Home Maintenance video series includes 40 videos that will provide you with information on how to operate and care for the different products in and around your home. Simply click on the down arrow in the upper left corner to see all videos available.
How to Complete a Homeowner Orientation
Before you close on your new Harbor Home you will have the opportunity to go through the home, looking at all the features and taking note of any potential defects. We call this walk through the Homeowner Orientation. This is an important part of the homebuilding experience and gets the home ready for closing. The Harbor MyHome video gives step-by-step instruction on using the app and the Homeowner Orientation video explains the overall process and what to expect.
Warranty Information
Every Harbor Home comes with a one-year limited warranty.
Each feature in your home has minimum performance standards that are outlined in the Harbor Warranty Manual. Our performance standards are governed by the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines for Professional Builders and Remodelers published by the National Association of Home Builders. In addition to the warranty provided by Harbor, many of the products in your home carry a manufacturer's warranty.
This Warranty video includes information on your home warranty, product warranties, warranty appointments, emergency warrant, submitting a warranty claim, non-warranty items, and home maintenance.
Navigating the Customer Portal
Anytime you have a warranty claim, we ask that you enter it into warranty through the Online Customer Portal. The customer portal is how we manage claims and schedule any of our building partners that may also be needed for a warranty appointment. You will also find various product documentation or other informational documents in the Online Customer Portal.
Follow our step-by-step video on how to enter a claim, access important documents and warranty information, and use the message center.
